I have the 4.7 non-HO with QuadraTrac II and I'm considering trying to find a Kenne Bell supercharger kit to bump the hp up to 340 and torque up to 360 lbft . It has 235 hp and 300 lbft now completely stock. I would probably do some other goodies too, such as a Magnaflow exhaust to end up with 350+ hp. I don't trust myself installing a supercharger so I'd have a shop do it. The price when done plus other goodies should be around $3,000. Now all I need is $3,000 or a generous family member. Dear Santa....

$3000 seems cheap. Ive been looking at super chargers for my grand marquis and the kits run 5-8k which to me seems like crazy money. $3000 seems reasonable price wise.

I will say that more manifold pressure is always the right answer!
However ...
... Always keep in mind when adding a metric ass-load of power and torque is that the rest of the car might tolerate it for now, but it won't forever. And some parts might not tolerate the additional power at all. I know very little about the WJ and it's drivetrain (I'm an XJ guy), but I'd bet you should expect to see seriously reduced lifespans for things like U-joints and CV joints (I'm assuming you have those on the front axles). No idea how your transmission or transfer case will feel about it either... but you can bet they won't be terribly happy! Something else that often gets overlooked is powertrain cooling. When you add power, you add heat. The stock radiator and trans cooler might be able to cope with that most of the time, but you can bet that the one time it can't is when you need it the most! Like, middle of nowhere in the woods and someone needs to get to the hospital, or late for your first day at your dream job! Modified cars always know how to kick ya where it hurts!
So my recommendation would be to spend money on step-by-step upgrades to increase the overall durability of the machine on stock power. Then, once it's all good and strong, supercharge the hell out of it! Or do what I would probably do and supercharge it first and spend tons of money and time constantly fixing it. Make sure your wallet and knuckles are ready for that commitment!

A full 100HP using a blower? Rock Bottom said it best.

Read this . From what I can tell, the newest WJ supercharger is a decade old. You would probably save money if you purchased a fresher H.O. version and had it installed.

Nah. I don't want to do an entire engine swap. I only have 40,000 miles on the damn car.

Dang. That's probably the lowest-mileage WJ I've heard of in a few years. Congrats!
