So this morning I made !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! about how I'd own a Mitsu Mirage. But I really doubt my Cube is gonna get totaled any time soon. And so instead I'm really looking at wheels! The ones I have are 7 years old, have been on 3 different cars and the chrome finish is starting to fade. Some chrome touch up would fix that but I kind of want a new look.

Here's 2 that I've been looking at:

I'm trying to stay around 500 dollars. I'm daily driving around town, not circuit racing so I don't need 1000 dollar carbon fiber sick rimps yo, just something fairly cheap and good looking. I would like 17 inch, 16 inch is acceptable and 15s would be going down a size but DAMN those Rotas are pretty alright. Any suggestions? It's tough to wheel shop when you can't see the wheels on your car, man....

I would need 4x114.3 for my Cube.

17 inches and I think they'd look awesome.

Just me though. I know they aren't the cheapest thing, but they're so super badass looking for steelies.

I like those a lot and was REALLY looking for a set but they're around 600 bucks for a 16 inch.

If you want mesh style wheels, how about these 17x7.5" Drag DR-44 s in black with machined lips? $115/each with free shipping from Discount Tire Direct, before a $50 discount on a set of 4.

Kinja'd!!!

Drag is Discount Tire's in-house "JDM" knockoff brand. I had a set of Drag DR-38s (a.k.a. Enkei GTC-01 knockoffs) on my old Mazdaspeed 6 and was happy with them.

:O I had never heard of them before. I'll have to take a look at their offerings, especially if they offer a nice discount! Thanks for the tip there! I'm not entirely sold on the mesh, just happened to like that one design. I've always wanted a 5 or 6 spoke wheel.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/results…

TireRack has a feature that lets you see the wheels on the same (or similar) make and model car (e.g. They don't have my Volvo wagon, just the sedan it's based on, so looks very close to correct. It even lets you select the color of the car.

Of the listed 17" wheels for your Cube, the Enkei Performance EV5 are my pick. They're bold but not garish, stylish yet classic, and if you get another car that uses 4X114.3 (or you get an adapter), they'll probably look good there, too. Makes it worth the fact they're over your budget.
