hehe.

I much prefer to be working then in university.

when you work, no exams or anything. plus you get paid, instead of having to pay.

Oh how I could tear that apart. I have an exam every day, and if I fail, I have the privileged of getting fired and making no money, then studying for more exams at other places to get a job, and if I fail at all of those, I get to have no money, no cars, no place to live. No wonder I know people that are professional students

I'll give you the getting fired part.

I didnt really have any issues working. I get the concepts, its the testing with no outside references (like really, when will I not have my phone on me to double check what the area of a sphere is (just an example))

when I say exams, I mean like they throw you in a room for an hour (or 2...or 3) and say solve this without any help or references.

and if you have one of those a day then dam remind me not to go into your field....

I had to get super duper early too. It snowed maybe 6 inches last night so I had to free my poor old car!

Oh yeah. The car is a beast in the winter. It will turn on the first crank in -15F.

It was more a matter of clearing all the snow off.

Nah it snowed all yesterday and last night and stopped around 3am apparently. Which wasn't bad, I think everyone knew it was coming so when I went to bed at 11pm nothing was plowed, and when I woke up at 5am everything was pretty plowed.

Supposed to get about a quarter inch today but that's no big deal.

I graduated in 09. Went to work for 5 years, did exactly one semester of grad school, and now am going back to work. Couldn't stand being back.

One the topic of coffee-centric video, did you ever watch Mystery Science Theater 3000? One of the directors they had on there probably 4 times was a guy called Coleman Francis - apparently he considered himself an auteur, but his movies are really fuckin' insufferable. So anyway, each and every one of his movies has at least one Coffee Drinking Scene if not more. I don't think anybody's really sure why, but long, lingering shots of people with coffee in hand, and bickering - almost like it was the guy's fetish.

I don't know if I can recommend their victim "Red Zone Cuba" to anyone. Hateful, dull characters being hateful, dull, hatefully dull, and fucking stupid, in the middle of a plot that could have been a thriller plot, could have been a farce, but is neither and managed to make a flight to Cuba to get involved in the Bay of Pigs to avoid issues with the Feds (wat - out of frying pan into BLAST FURNACE much) crushingly boring. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE

Then there's the part where the director is playing a murderous slob with no redeeming values who's kind of rapey. So, yeah, Coleman Francis sucks unimaginably. Some movies are so bad they're good, some movies just erode the soul.
