The "lightweight" version of the compact luxury SUV to compete against the X3/Q5 is 4030 lbs. The hybrid version, is actually lighter. What in the world is that engine made of, tungsten?

I actually had to zoom in to see if it wasn't the NX. I guess barfy is preferable to bland but....im not sure I could stomach either.

Turbo n shit.
Anyways, Lexus should go the Jag and Audi way, and build most of their cars from aluminum.

interesting, I guess C&D got their Hybrid weights wrong. They have it listed as 4003

You could take out some weight removing the diff/driveshaft/stuff RWD vehicles need and go with a full FWD hybrid setup. If it's still got AWD with the battery and motor...voodoo and demon sacrifices.

yeah see that is also a thing if it's AWD also, i'm not sure. Tho, the old RX400h had a rear diff without a propeller shaft

That looks funky.

There's also the possibility that C&D put it on an actual scale and the weights don't quite jive with the official numbers.

Good points.
