Now just have to wait for a killer deal or the Stringbean passes. And considering I put 20 miles on it a week... That may take a while to justify.

Sorry, is that a BRZ? I can't tell. It looks flippin' sweet regardless. Please get all the effects and wing too.

Genesis Coupe!
IMO - Hyundai should change their name to Hoondai. Sounds cooler and is easier for non-car people to say. :)

Gen Coupe. I do see the BRZ features in it. Big ole fat booty wide body kit for sure though.

Nice choice. You goin' 2.oT or 3.8?

3.8
Even though I really would like a turbo so it can make silly turbo noises.. But they stopped making the turbo in '14 so that has me concerned as to why. Plus I think the 3.8 is rated at some 150 HP more than I have currently.

Seems legit.
My guess with the 2.0T is simply that it didn't sell as well, but I'm definitely not a Hoondai expert so don't trust what I say on the subject. haha
Also, you need to get a vanity plate that says HOONDAI.

So pretty! Did you go MT or flappy paddle? Not going to lie I love the idea of flappy paddles. I tested a 2.0t Auto and they were a lot of fun (my car has autostick now so I'm used to it but like the idea of full auto for cruising or traffic). However 8 gears and I was rifling through them quick.. But I guess that's what happens when you're making 6k rpm shifts to hear the turbo blowoff.

That would make sense. Or possibly consolidating engines for both Gens? Since the sedan and coupe can have the 3.8. Now if they put the sedan's 5.0 in the coupe... Oh lawd
And I would gladly retire the G3NGAR plate for HOONDAI

If they put the 5.0 in the coupe and did some other tweaks, it would be one of very few Asian contenders to the American muscle scene. That would be awesome.
As soon as my registration is up I will be getting a vanity plate for the FR-S that says "FR SLOW"

Your concerns about the 2.0 are invalid. Hyundai just wanted to position the Genesis Coupe as more "upscale" and figured a four cylinder wouldn't help with that image.

Hmmmm... Interesting. That's actually good new. I've read about the 2.0 is easier to mod and squeeze more life out of. Maybe now I can still get my silly turbo noises

MT for me. I tried the turbo with stick, but I couldn't get the clutch release right with the turbo lag tripping me up.
Be sure and try the updated 3.8; best NA V6 out there.

Have you modded yours yet?
I recently acquired a set of Pro-Kits and the B8 Shocks for the rear (fronts coming soon after xmas)

not really, trying to keep the warranty intact for now. All I've really done is new front and rear black wing badges and new aluminum pedals, purely cosmetic.
