I tried to take a corner at ~10mph and went straight into a snowbank. Luckily a helpful municipal plow driver (they exist!) pulled me out as long as I'd accept liability for any damages done to my car. He had chains on to make it down my road.
After getting off the dirt roads the roads were simply wet for the rest of my commute. This did not stop people from driving 5-10 under the speed limit. If you're going 40 and you hit black ice you're going off the road. Going 45 or the actual 50 mph speed limit won't really make a difference.

Been a bit of a rough week for your car hasn't it? Any visible damage to your car?

Backed out of my garage yesterday onto my sloping driveway that happened to be one giant sheet of black ice. Went to turn around in the side section of my driveway and the front end just kept going around and heading down the driveway onto my cul-de-sac. Shifted into drive and just kept going. Made for an interesting morning.
Where I work, we're at the bottom of a two-lane road where it turns 90 degrees. Every winter storm someone overcooks it and ends up in a snowbank outside my window. We keep a shovel nearby now.

Nah. I just slowly slid into a soft snowbank. Hooked plow guy's chain to a tow point and he pulled me out with no damage.

2002 Ford Taurus. I usually end up in a couple snowbanks before the winter is done.

Hm. I would have no idea where to hook my car for towing.

It is usually fairly obvious one you look underneath but you might have a screw in tow eye.

My car has a huge bumper that curves around it's front.

It was just my dirt road it seems. Everything else I drove on was just wet.

I'm glad you went into a snowbank and not a tree. Whew!

You and me both sister. Although totaling my car would be a financial boon.

I've got nothing to add here. It was 85 degrees here in Los Angeles yesterday. I had to put the AC on in my car.

Ha. No doubt. I wasn't in any danger at the speed I was going.

Sealed my driveway over the weekend, then it rained for two days. Drive is like a skating rink, looked like Bambi on ice walking along this thing.
