I have to say the reason I don't like the R33 is because of the looks. That, and the R34 is mechanically better.

The looks have really grown on me. To me, at least, they look more like wagan warriors built for top end speed than circuit or touge destroyers and I really kinda like that.

Those are my favorite colors.

If I was going R32 it would have to be in whatever they call the dark gray. Cliche, but it just works with that car.

From what I've been able to find, Lightning Yellow (color code EV1) was a 1999-specific color for the Skyline. Cor blimey though, it's gorgeous.

I'm actually not a fan of the Bayside Blue on the 34. It just doesn't feel right. Heathen that I am, I'm also not super-huge on Midnight Purple II or III. Millenium Jade is okay though.

I do have to say, as strong as my lust is for a yellow R34, I would do terrible depraved acts that compromised every single one of my standards and morals to get my hands on a full R34 GT-R converted Stagea.

Ehhhh, I can kinda see it.

When I look at it I see an R34 with a weird bodykit. The taillights are weird (like a cross between an R32 and a Z32), it's got S14 headlights, and the appearance kit (bumpers, skirts, and wing) just looks off somehow. It looks like a Grand Theft Auto version of a Skyline, but in real life.

Compared to the pure motorsports lines of the R32, or the firm-edged menace of the R34, the R33 kinda falls flat in my eyes.

I'm certainly not trying to discourage you from liking them - they need love too. They just don't trip my trigger like the other 2.

I too love the R33, but they do highly resemble Nissan Sentras/Altimas/Maximas of the era in a lot of little details, and it's hard to unsee.

Import-legal R32's have been spiking in price compared to non-import-legal cars. My roommate does importing and is good friends with several people in the Skyline US owner's groups.

Well, I'm sure someone loves R32s that much but there's been an 8000km Nismo on the market for 50k or so for months, so I dunno why they'd go that high on a non-Nismo (I bid on that Nismo and missed it by a few thousand the first time it went up... regret that sooo much).
