While I get the humor in this post, as a C4 ZR-1 owner even I wouldn't recommend he do that. It would essentially be the same story as the Ferrari, but with less attention given by passers-by.

He should instead buy a T-Rex.

Agreed. Not much to see there. If the first car hadn't been a Ferrari, I'd say early Viper. But I'd like to see something like a 280ZX turbo or Maserati Cosworth Chrysler TC. Something obscure and less-than-ultimately-desirable but decent/interesting at the same time.

If only you had a V6 Camry... then what? The new SE takes 6 seconds to reach 60 while a manual trans '85 C4 takes 5.6. And I'm pretty sure it's not a stock 13 second car. And it's not going to hit 150. Or .95 lateral g. The V6 Camry crack's not taking down any C4 but the '84, pal! (And yes, I do feel a twinge of shame bragging about that, but give a 30-year-old car a break.)
