You can check out the Google Cardboard project !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and feel free to ask me whatever about it. I'm totally loving it right now, and I even made a head mount out of a cardboard box.

Mostly I've been playing with demos. It's really not that powerful, just a really cool toy.

It was free, so yes :p Volvo is giving them away as part of a promotion.

well would it be worth it at $20 or whatever? I almost bought one this weekend out of pure curiosity.

Try signing up for the Volvo promotion first, it looks like they're still doing it. It really doesn't have much for apps aside from demos, so I'd try to avoid spending much money on it. It also kinda depends on whether or not your phone is officially supported, since the official cardboard app doesn't actually work with my GSIII.

So basically, $20 is a bit much, but if you can get one for $10, go for it.
