It was a '99 Impreza 2.5RS coupe that the engine gave out on, and I was swapping in a ver. 4 STi engine. By the time I had sold it I had done nearly all of the mechanical parts of the swap and was left with wiring, finale inspection, and troubleshooting if anything was wrong. My main reason for selling the car was because I'm short on money right now (no solid work and in school) and that I don't live anywhere near where I was keeping it and didn't have the free time to go work on it. It was sad to see it go, but at least I know its going to someone who will finish what I started. It was especially painful to sell it, because this was the car that started my love of cars in the first place.

Would it be possible to keep in touch with the seller so you can keep track of the car if you ever want to buy it back? Or even just know what's happening with a car that's so special to you.
On the other hand this could backfire, like the first time I saw my first car after selling it and there was a MASSIVE dent in the side.

I have his phone number and told him I would help out with information if he needed it. he doesn't live too far from where I'm at now as well. the goal though is that by the time I'm done with school and have a decent job I'll be able to buy an actual STi coupe from Japan or the UK.

My poor Dodge Dynasty ended up badly donked.

Ha, my older siblings had two Dynastys for their first cars. Donkification is a sad fate for such a dignified vehicle.
