Acura, the oldest Japanese luxury brand, it is about as old as me, being born in 1986. Acura's performance was like a heart rate of an athlete, filed with very high ups and very low downs. But what makes Acura a problem for Honda is the low marketability of the brand. I mean Infiniti and Lexus are global manufacturers and try their best to get global recognition, Acura on the other hand, is stuck in North America, and timidly tries to launch itself in China. Nevertheless, Acura had some models with potential to be classics/collectibles.
NSX, is a classic, a collectible and one of the most amazing Japanese cars, ever produced.
The Acura Legend, was a classy, comfortable sedan, but everyone just wanted the coupe.
The integra, was fun, fast and practical, too bad it never seen some rally action.
And it survived for quite a few generations.
Acura Vigor, I'm surprised that this ever had two generations. It was the mean that middle class, middle aged men from suburban areas, used to announce their neighbors, that they are successful. Classic car? You tell me.
90's RL was the successor of the Legend and it looked a bit German, in a good way.
Late 90's RL looked decent, not sure if it will gain classic status.
Like I'm not sure about the 2000 MDX.
The SLX has a slightly bigger chance.
Original TSX will become a classic for sure, just like the second generation, and of course the wagon.
Acura ZDX, it's so rare that it could become a classic, too.
Strange how people didn't wanted this, but went all over the BMW X6.
And obviously, the 2016 NSX will be a collectible, simply because it's called the NSX.
Did I miss anything?
Have your say.

i always thought of the vigor as a good looking car. great proportions.
i'd even say that while the bmw e38 perfected this shape, the vigor beat it to market by a couple of years.

I miss the Integra, though I guess they'll say it was redundant and really a Prelude. Anyway, Acura has, it seems, had the toughest time carving out a niche for itself as a "luxury brand." Wish they'd stayed more on the exotic and sporty side, producing successors to the Integra and NSX. Though honestly, why did Acura, Lexus, Infiniti all have to start in with models like the "IS," "CL," "Q45," and other such names—completely forgettable all of them. You can take an iconic design and give it a boring name and it works, or take a flimsy design and try to add excitement with a memorable moniker, but give me a boring sedan with a name like "ZX" and all you've done is make your car less interesting than a chemical weapon.

The 2000 MDX was so ugly in my opinion. The redesign made it perfect.
I would totally rock a ZDX.

The Legend should have been RWD. If the Legend had been RWD it would have been like Acura's answer to the Skyline GTS, or more so the 240sx in the US!
It would have been legen... wait for it... DARY!

One issue, of course, is that a lot of these were - as you say - badged as Hondas throughout the rest of the world. I don't really associate Acura with the NSX and the Integra Type R, for example—and those are probably the two cars on your list most likely to attain true classic status.
(One thing to note: in Europe, at least, it's much the same for Lexus and Infiniti. Infinitis are basically non-existent - I've never actually seen one in person - and the only Lexus that seemed to sell in moderately significant numbers is the first IS.)

The first six pictures makes me really sad about the current state of Acura/Honda.
At least they're getting back into F1.

I still think that the ZDX is one of the most daring designs to make it into production in recent years.

Apart from its shield-beak, I think the ZDX looks quite good. The 2013 year models are definitely unicorns, they sold less than 1000 of them.

This thing had a longitudinally mounted 5 cyl. It didn't fit anywhere in Acura's lineup. But it was a good car.
