...in which my response to someone saying "hey, just let the disabled fellow have the crappy rental car! It's a car, it's not a Mercedes loaner, but what's the big deal?" was to compare that attitude to the "separate but equal" attitudes of the 60s. My intent was to highlight that it really is a big deal. And it's not just some guy making a stink because he can't have a fancy loaner car.
Commenters proceeded to lose their collective shit. Well, one commenter in particular. Apparently making this comparison makes me a "hardcore moronic troll." I think I'm going to use that as the name for my new ska-punk band. Hard Core and the Moronic Trolls.

In the 90's my ska band was going to be Lather Rinse Repeat. Never took off.

Wow. I haven't been on the internet much in the last week. I almost forgot that people are absolute idiots.

I saw that earlier. I don't think you're wrong with making that comparison.

I don't know what to say. I only read half of the responses, but that went WAY downhill. You bring up separate but equal and the response is "Get that shit out of here." I don't think they're even trolling. :(

If I ever started a band I would have called it Bent Pushrod. But that sounds more rockabilly than ska or punk, and that just isn't my style. But I suppose the fact that I have no musical talent has nothing at all to do with this.
I agree with your analogy, though.
