What's your top 3 favorite things about your current car? It can be anything from sounds, looks, performance, etc.
My top 3 favorite things about my Miata are:
1. The handling- Yeah, I know... But on a good backroad it's sublime.
2. Exhaust Sound- I've got a roadstersport exhaust. When you get on it, it growls like an old British roadster. Plus it pops and grumbles on deceleration.
3. The shifter gate noise- Every so often, when I shift into fourth gear it makes a clicking noise like a gated shifter in an old Ferrari. And every time it gets me.
What's your top 3?

1. The noise it makes when I wring out that straight six
2. The looks. The E46 body style is one of the better looking BMWs.
3. The H&K stereo. Makes long commutes bearable.

My busted old 1980 Tercel:
1. It was free
2. Easy to drive flat-out
3. Some things still work
Also, I really like the design of the thing. But I can't say "looks," because the rust has done its work.

3. The head unit I installed has an aux jack haha

Reliability: That 4.3L V6 and 4L60E just keep going and going and going no matter what I do to them.
Practicality: I've got three rows of full adjustable seats, a back bench that turns into a bed, and more cargo space than any one person ever needs.
Exhaust note: The engine sounds surprisingly good at full tilt. That could have to do with my muffler's internals falling to bits.

1: Inconspicuousness - The car is incredibly anonymous. It's almost invisible to anybody who isn't specifically looking for it.
2: Performance - Surprising power, great torque, good handling, and incredible snow drifts
3: Uniquenss - Its a wagon with an 8 cylinder engine that's shorter than it is wide driving a Torsen based AWD system. Add on other engineering curiosities like a split pin crankshaft, two balance shafts, the W cylinder arrangement, quadruple ball joint front suspension, and ginormous brakes, and it's certainly interesting from an engineering perspective.

1 - Handling
2 - Driving position
3 - Shifter feel (replaced all the fluids, and it's fucking butter)
AW11
1 - Track characteristics (handles amazingly, tons of grip, you can steer it with your right foot, sounds insane when the revs are up, etc)
2 - Pop up headlights/T-Tops - How 80s can you get?
3 - Everything wrong with it can be mended. It's my first project car, and it hasn't thrown anything crazy at me yet. It's made me learn how to do alot of things, and I'm now much more confident under the hood.

1. The engine note. Sounds like a car way more expensive than it is.
2. Close ratio six speed.
3. The interior. While it is 11 years old, the interior has aged well from a design and wear and tear point of view.
1968 Spitfire.
1. Monza style gas cap and its location. It feels like you are making a pit stop when you fill up.

'13 FR-S
1. Handling
: It's not a fast car in a straight line, duh, but it handles like crazy (taking turns fast) and makes it an excellent car to improve my driving ability with.
2. Looks
: It's just so sexy!
3. Community
: Gas mileage nearly took 3rd place (29+ in a "sports" car that I tend to drive with spirit), but more important to me has been the friendships this car has helped me make. Once I bought my FR-S I started going to the local Toyobaru club meets. I met an awesome group of enthusiasts, who quickly became friends. It's had a tremendously positive affect on my life, and that wouldn't have happened if I was still driving my 4Runner. (I'll be writing an lengthier post about this soon)

29.1-29.3 is the average for the overall life of the car, just over 11k miles.
I have a 6 mile commute to work on surface roads but it's a major road where I hit mostly greens. I keep it around 2k most of the time, and occasionally do some fairly long freeway driving.
The community has been a big deal for me. I move to Illinois without knowing anyone, and learned quickly that making friends in your mid-20s is a lot harder than it was in high school and college. Nearly everyone I've met in the Toyobaru community is nice, and a lot of them are in relatively similar points in life as me. I'm actually moving in with two members of my club (a couple) when my current lease is up. I was planning on moving in with the girl anyways, and then she started dating a guy in the club who I get along with well anyways. It will be much better than my current roommate situation. haha

No money? No problem. As so long as you have a good set of wrenches you can keep this thing on the road with the lost change between your couch cushions.
Ease of maintenance. The oil filter could be a tad bit easier to access, but most things are easy to reach.

2013 Fiat 500 Abarth
Loud noises: The 500 Abarth exhaust is an aural wonder. It spits and growls at stop lights, and announces victory on the pass with a loud pop and backfire. Every time I start the car, I smile. Every. Time.
Size and Fight: The Abarth is a crafty, urban fighter that can flick around corners and find vanishing cracks in highway traffic. A joy to drive at speeds fast or slow, the tiny turbo is more than a match for the Abarth's light weight, and the compact dimensions mean parking is never a problem.
Italianesque quirks: The barstool seating, long throws on the shift, the complete lack of rear visibility. The Abarth is raw and unrefined in ways that, frankly, do not matter to me. I'll happily trade the weird HVAC controls for the Abarth's luscious steering wheel, and I like that there is no multi-function display to mar the dash. The Abarth looks, feels and drives like a car out of time.

'02 Passat 1.8t
1. Wagon- Initially this was a dealbreaker when I got the car in high school, but me (and my girlfriend) quickly realized that Wagon=more space. Some of my friends give me crap for driving a wagon until it comes time to move.
2. 1.8t- Love that little motor, moves the quite heavy car along pretty well and gets decent gas mileage when I don't drive like moron.
3. 5 speed manual- For a 12 year old car that has spent its entire life in Vermont and is still on the original clutch with 180k on it, its shifts are buttery smooth.
