Because you have mad envy for CAcoalminer.
This is also guaranteed to be super-not productive. We're all going to tell you to get it (me included), you'll buy, get in over your head, and curse the day you laid down the cash for this wrecked GT.
...but you should still get it, because even a wrecked GT totally shits on anything we're ever gonna drive/own in our lifetimes, and buying it means you get to say you owned one. You get to be a supercar owner. That alone would be worth it for me.

Because Good GT > Wrecked GT > * ?
Surprised they're parting it out rather than repairing though. Doesn't look that badly messed up.

You could hand-bend the panels back together over time kind of like how Ferrari does it for the GTO's that they rebuild after heinous on track incidents. The truth is that our wife would leave you , just like those guys who build kit cars in their sheds. But you would own probably the most loved Ford GT in existence.

Buy it, mount a universal replacement headlight and source a steel bumper from anything out of the '70s. Make them fit. When the tires go bad, instead of replacing them, sell the wheels and get steelies. Then you'll have the coolest supercar in the world.

Buy it, don't touch it, place in barn, put blanket on top. Then wait 40 years. So much profit.

Because you see a vehicle that some view as an American icon, feel that you can get purchase it for a reasonable amount of money due to the fact that it has sustained some form of damage, and believe that the damage is minor enough that you could fix it and have a terrific vehicle for thousands less than an undamaged example.

I really depends on if there is frame damage or not. That being said, if I had to make a snap judgement right now, I would say it is worth repairing. However, you need to be very realistic about how much this vehicle will cost to repair. As it sits, the car is still probably going to sell for over $100,000 before you spend anymore on replacement parts. Now, I don't know your financial position right now, but even if you are well off, that is a significant outlay for anyone. In short, I know you love this car but I want you to have this car when it wouldn't be a financial burden to you.

A buddy of mine who is in the salvage car business says the car wont go over 75k as it sits and he said as long as the frame isnt damaged he said it should be fairly easy to bring back. Ya my dad said once he gets a new job we can look at doing something like this, if not making our Gran Torino something to be Feared.

Thanks man, ya me and my dad love the Ford GT. With this one (of 13 wrecked ones) like 15 min from our house it should be easy if not a long process to get and restore.
