Sorry for the potato cam pics... my snow tires finally came in over the weekend, so I finished my winter setup. I'm digging it so far, what do you think?

White Sparco Terra 16x7 with Continental Winter Extreme Contact Suddless Ice & Snows

Red RallyArmor UR universal mudflaps

Hella 500 Fog & Driving lights on a custom bar I made

Blacked out the grille chrome with plasti-dip

Also a Hurst Shifter Shift Knob because why not and gloves are a thing...

Expecting some more snow tomorrow and I can't wait!

You should have used black cutting boards.

The Saabaru badge is a nice touch.

Liking the Terras, they're up there in wheel choices for my WRX. Can't find anyone who's used the 17" ones though...

How did you make your lightbar? I really want to put some rally lights on my car.

Diggin' it! I kinda want those wheels for next winter. The white Sparcos on my red FR-S would look awesome!

Also, I've been debating on the RallyArmor mud flaps. Do you really notice that they do a lot to keep your rear bumper/quarter panels clean?

It's mostly a piece of aluminum angle stock from lowes, with a couple of steel flat bar sections for support. I found 4 bolts I could use for mounting points, plus it kind of sits on the front bumper. I wouldn't try standing on it or anything, but it seems to hold the lights well without bouncing around or anything even on rough back roads...

I debated going to 17" because I'd like to get a WRX at some point and figured I'd like to make sure the wheels would clear the brakes... but from what I've read the 16" clears the standard brakes just fine. Not sure about the STI... Smaller wheels look more rally to me anyways. I think real gravel wheels are actually 15"?

Looking fly man. I saw a Versa with rally lights once. Rally all the things!

Having just put them on this weekend I haven't had enough time to test that. I'm still hearing the dirt on the roads pinging my car, but I have no idea if what I'm hearing is under the car or hitting the sides... I did drive down some really gunked up roads yesterday and I feel like my car is cleaner that it would have been. Mostly I just like how they looked...

Yeah, I have the 4-pot/2-pot WRX brakes so 16s are a gamble for me. I think the Terras may fit, but no one has been able to confirm this for me. I know for a fact they don't fit over the STI Brembos...you really can't downsize the wheels on a GD STI at all.

I thought about it... I kind of hoped the red would match the taillights, I'm still not sure

Sometimes I wish to have an actual winter over here just so I can justify these mods. Other times I wish to have an actual winter so I can justify hooning in the snow. And other times I with to have an actual winter because I hate hot weather.

So basically I should move somewhere cold.

Yeah, I think they'd look good on my car too. (I'm thinking black with red lettering, but I'm kind of curious how the red with white lettering would look on a red car)

Hmm... Yeah red on red sounds like it has the potential to be sketchy. I'm still not sure if I should have gone black/red letters myself, but I'm pretty happy with the red

I like the red with white on your car, especially with that shot from the rear; matches the tail lights well. I think I'll end up going black with red on my car

How expensive are lights like that? My Mazda's headlights are weaksauce and I was thinking of putting on some rally lights just like that.

Here are the lights I ordered http://www.amazon.com/HELLA-00575095… They have the 500 FF series too, not sure what the difference is but the standard 500s seem to get better reviews so that's what I got. I'm really happy with them, the fogs alone are a big improvement in field of view, and the driving lights are like super high beams. I've already avoided a few deer with them... I'd estimate I paid about $150 including the cost of the hardware to make the bar.

I don't remember, but I just googled "saabaru badge". It's just a sticker, but a high quality one... they've lasted me a good 6 months now and were a big improvement over the old faded out discs

I have not. However, just a few hours west in Ontario here, I bought a 9/10 set with tires for $300 CAD

Yeah...I have yet to see a set anywhere in New England selling for less than $500 US...incidentally, I could buy a new set of Terras for about that much. And even so, the number of local sets around is around zero, even if I was willing to pay.

Pretty much all the local JDM parts on this side of the country come in through either Toronto or Montreal, so you guys have way, way better parts availability than we do.

I've got the 17" Sparco Terras on my Forester. Well, actually they are not on it right now because they are the summer wheels and the Blizzak shod stock steelies are on it now.
