I spent about$250 on car parts over the last 2 days and my wife's '98 CRV has: new cap & rotor, plugs & wires, fuel filter, front brake pads & rotors. I got to us all my cool tools, too. Compressor, impact wrench, air ratchet, torque wrench... I haven't done this much car work in a long time and I have a suspicion that in the morning I'll be feeling some muscles that haven't been used in a long time. The only real problem I encountered was that the distributor cap and rotor are not user friendly. It only gets better when I get in the house and "Stripes" is on Encore.

That's about what I've spent this weekend too. I'm going to replace my exhaust. Muffler, resonator, the gaskets and hangers and shit, and a cabin filter.

Used to love it when a repair (of any kind) was an excuse to buy a new tool.

Wow, what's up with it? My headline is in font size huge and the text is big and bold. I'll have to look my settings.

The best thing of this is that I had all the tools for these jobs. I thought about buying some flare nut wrenches for the fuel filter but I was able to use the regular ones.

Ah - get the flare nut wrenches. You deserve something for saving all that money!

I just ordered a ton of suspension refresh parts for my e30. I am probably going to spend 2x as much on new tools to make it easier... (I think I have everything to do it currently but who cares)
