most new cars these days are practically riding the rim anyway, huge dubs, no-profile tires.

The last gen 3 series coupe came with some seriously low profile tyres. I've ridden in one, they don't do the car any favours...

It's not that, there are many vehicular things that aren't to my tastes that I don't condemn. Speaking as an engineer stance is ridiculous and there are many examples why.

That honda does have a terrible suspension setup. But what heck happened to the Nissan? And also painting a Nissan that color is whack.

There are many examples why owning a 1000hp street car is ridiculous or owning a 1000+cc sport bike too.

Some high power cars are surprisingly drivable as 1000hp cars are more often than not boosted with large turbos. When you're off boost at low revs you arent dealing with huge power. I do agree they have a bigger potential to be misused than a regular car though.
The big difference between a 1000hp car and a stanced car is that a high hp car can be treated with respect and be fine, an average stanced car however could break at any moment.
Plus stanced cars are a lot more common than 1000hp cars.

A stanced car can break at any moment? Where as a car producing 1000HP can not?
A stanced car can be treated with respect and be fine, I did it for a year problem free.

Engine failure =/= suspension failure. Largely high hp cars are well built anyway. The kind of person cutting springs and adding ridiculous camber probably couldn't build a high power car that would even start. Ocasionally some stanced cars are properly engineered and ocasionally some are just lucky.
I always like to point people to this. It's a stanced car that hasn't failed, but it's about to.

Maybe some people engineer around these things, but I know for a fact a lot don't. That's the problem with stance being so popular, all kinds of idiots can join in.

I don't think you understand how to stance a vehicle. You can't just "Cut the springs" and "add camber" Zero cars that are actually "stanced" have cut springs. That is not stance, that is dangerous.
You need coilovers or air struts (if air you need management = $$$), camber plates, adjustable control arms, etc. etc. It's extremely difficult and expensive to do, I would know because I've done it. You can point out all the extreme examples you want and I can come back with numerous high HP cars that are built like crap. Case in point Jeff Hill's STI, beautiful car, but it's a 500WHP STI with stock internals, and it happens to be owned by a local now and it blew up because it was built to be a show queen and the kid who owns it blew it up driving like an asshat.

Not true. While yes some cars use camber plates and nicely made coilovers or air, the exact same look is acheived by putting spacer in dumb places and cutting springs.
At the end of the day there's zero chance I'll concede that stance is okay, I think it's dangerous, ugly and quite funny in many cases, so this is a moot argument.

Find me a stanced car that has cut springs. It's just not possible, you need to be able to fine tune things for it to work properly.
I think you'd see it differently if you actually understood how it works.

I doubt that. Even one on coils doesn't solve any of my issues with it.
In the motoiq link the issues arent necesarily suspension failure, it's the battered subframe and rubbing driveshafts.
Tires arent designed to be stretched or run with big camber. Cars need proper suspension travel or things get bent.
Maybe the guys you know build em properly but many many others don't.

And engines are not designed to have their output tripled. You're choosing to dislike something by cherry picking the finest examples and using them for your argument instead of seeing the big picture.
Lets take off the blinders for a second, because lets not forget about the kids driving around on their ebay turbo kit honda's with bad tunes ready to blow at any moment. Or the people who drive with drag radials on the street because "that's cool" and you never know when you might get in a dig race. Or even the people pushing way too much power for the size of their brakes and the limits of their suspension.

Your engine argument is stupid. Engines blows and cuts out; clutch in and coast to the side of the road. Subframe bolts shears, stray out of your lane with no control and hit a person just trying to get to their destination. See the difference? We had an engine blow on our car (timing belt sheared and engine ate itself) we pulled over with minimal fuss.
All those examples you provided require misuse to cause a crash (although drag radials on street would be stupid). Stance just requires hitting a bump wrong a few times.
Plus I've never seen drag radials on street. I have seen a rover 100 slammed with camber and stretched tires BOUNCE out of its lane and force someone to swerve out of the way.
Your arguments are invalid.

You must not live in an area with a big drag scene, because in the summer drags on the street are commonplace, people don't even try to conceal it. Stance also requires misuse to be dangerous, because I drove a car in which the oil pan was less than the height of a quarter off the ground, zero fuss, zero hassles. I did need boards to get in to my driveway, but other than that there was never a single problem with how to car drove.
Theres a good and a bad side to everything, and you're cherry picking to bad from the side you don't like. My buddy drives a bagged 2013 STI hatch, 225's on 10.5" wheels with a healthy amount of camber. He has no drivability issues, even drives it in the winter, still out performs my Subaru in the corners too and I have wide tires and pretty good suspension. He daily drives it in Minnesota, we have some of the worst roads ever. We also drive from Minneapolis to Chicago multiple times during the summer for shows down there, drives it around down town Chicago no issues.
It's very easy to make something seem bad because you don't like it. There's a difference between doing it and doing it right. When you see these blown out tires and wrecked cars its because they were doing something stupid and hit something, or they refused to replace their tires with camber wear. Yeah, tires are going to wear unevenly and faster with camber, its the cost of doing business so you have to replace them more often. Refusing to do so doesn't mean that stance is dangerous, it means the driver is an idiot.

A car with stretches tires scraping the ground can be dangerous no matter how you drive. I've already said I am discussing the vast majority of bad cars and a small percentage are better built havent I?
