This equated to about 739 at the crank so far. Headers and exhaust coming up next.

Thats awesome! I can't wait to see the gains with a nice blower cam. The stock LT4 cam is tiny! Even by LS can standards.

I haven't seen the specs yet. What are they? Yeah, can't wait to see what it can do with a streetable cam in the low 230's. The head porting guys have been busy too and I'm hearing some pretty nice numbers.

Jordan Lee told us there's still some power to be had: "I think there's more in that supercharger." John Rydzewski, who admitted that some early iterations of the LT4 were producing around 680 lb-ft of torque, was also free to admit where to find more power: "Open up the exhaust system and work with the camshaft." If it weren't for the stringent emissions requirements, "There's a lot of room to move around on the camshaft."

whoahhh....they really crutched this thing down. Crazy to find themselves making too much power for warranty and/or a specific place in mind against future offerings and dialing the thing back. Even dropping a LS9 cam in there would be huge gains.

Oh yeah, its crazy to think how much power its making with a smaller supercharger and smaller cam than the LS9!
Sadly an LS9 cam won't work because of the high pressure DI pump drive lobe and they switched the positions of the intake/exhaust valves on the GenV.
No doubt the aftermarket has it covered!

yes, Wiseco has done pistons for the 1000+whp guys and Comp was really on the ball with different fuel pump lobes...so it's looking good. They must have had some advance notice ;) I don't know if ERL or RED has sleeved a block yet, but 427/441's will be coming quickly. Trevor at Texas Speed had some good insight with block availability through Dealers being key so a guy can switch out a shortblock in a relatively short amount of time. There's rumors of tuners experiencing failures trying to get acquainted with injector timing, but it looks like the bigger shops are doing pretty good at this point.

Ive seen some of those lobes from comp, pretty cool stuff!
Oh yeah, theres gotta be quite a learning curve when dealing with some of this new (to the LS world) tech. I hear shops like Lingenfelter work very close with GM. So I'm sure it won't take them long to get the hang of it.
