So before the GTO, there was the Monaro. And much before the Monaro, there was this Monaro. Like the Premier sedan, the Monaro met a limited career in South Africa where it could only be had as the GTS (308 only) for a couple of years before GMSA started manufacturing it in Port Elizabeth as the Chevrolet SS (talk about history running in circles). I have no idea why the reviewer insists in comparing it to Euro GT cars, though.

So there it is, I've already made up for the forgotten Saturdays. Now I need not to forget about it again.

Looks like I'm a doofus. Also the 350 was never sold in RSA, contrary to my late night claims.

Origin of my confusion (besides sleep deprivation): the Chev SS.
