Kinja'd!!!

I bought this computer at Best Buy on black Friday for $360. Easily the best deal I came across, and so far it has been great. 50% better specs than the Asus I was looking at for $350 and came with a bunch of extra crap. If not for all of you that pitched in we probably would have bought a Dell or HP, but I'm glad we didn't after hearing everything you guys said about them.

skip the webroot amd remove any norton/mcafee/trend micro or anything else that may be on it out of the box. Enable Windows Defender and youre set. If you need any help with that let me know. Im mostly in front of my computer for the next few days anyway.

enjoy the new toy!

I can probably manage. What don't you like about Norton, etc.?

It's pretty poor and expects you to pay for it. It's aimed at people recognizing the name and renewing the license.

Windows defender is pretty good (not as good as it used to be if I recall correctly, but still one of the better ones) and if you would like something else than that I could recommend Avast which is also free.

Resource hog, it isnt very effective, and it'll do everything it can to get money out of you. Defender is just as good if not better, and free.
