Well this sucks. I just lost 22 million credits and all of the cars in the game.
Anybody else suffer this?

How did you lose the save?

No idea. It "syncs" data and then starts a new game, despite my saved file being 89MBs.

I don't know how to work with an Xbox but if you can somehow get the memory card (if there's one) into your PC, there are ways to recover the data.

It is in the cloud thus I have no access to it. Microsoft says it is there, my Xbox says it is there but Forza doesn't agree.

It's an internal hard drive. Unfortunately, there's no way of recovering it once it's been overwritten.

Fuck. I still find it weird how the console accidentally eats up data.

Check your hard drive for corrupted files.

It does! How can a game take up a fifth of my hard drive??

Yep, that might be a fix, if the cloud has a good copy and can restore the game save.

This happened to me, but in real life.
I had a collection of supercars and $22M in my bank account. One day when I returned from being let go of in a hostile corporate acquisition (don't ask), all the cars were gone, the accounts were completely drained, and there was a dear john letter on my bed. My wife and the butler. I don't think I need to say anymore.

Don't delete the save. Microsoft's cloud service is currently down because of a DDOS attack.

That happened to me in Forza 4, after I had beaten the game and everything. It sucked like hell, but then I realized that it just gave me an excuse to play through the game again, except this time I saved it to the cloud (not my Xbox like I had the first time).

Oh, well it was doing that to me with GTA V.
