My schedule is finally calming down a bit since returning home from my track days in Palm Springs. Unfortunately I only have a little but of time right now to post about it. Link to my post after getting back to the hotel before the dinner party on the first day.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

They did allow us to take photos of the new M178, this one is a cut-away training model. It's appears to be a very tightly packed but well designed engine. But I know you want to see photos of the cars, which we weren't allowed to take. However, THEY GAVE US FLASH DRIVES WITH LOTS OF PICTURES AND SOME VIDEO.

Apparently it's impossible to turn off bold on mobile kinja.

The videos are of me driving, in car and out of car, split screen, with speed and G-meter display. Decent sound too. I plan on uploading a bunch of this later. Maybe I'll even just link to my instagram, which currently has nothing on it, that way I don't kill kinja. I plan on making the post either tonight or tomorrow, depending on when I have the time.

911 Fighting Merc is too rich for Manuel's blood. That's fine though; he's more of a working class kind of guy.

I'm interested to see what this looks like the M178 is entirely unimpressive on paper. It has big shoes to fill with the M159

I'm not sure how it's unimpressive. I know it's less powerful than the M159, but IIRC makes way more torque. And it doesn't drive anything like a turbo motor, power delivery is instantaneous. They were also very clear to us that the GT isn't a replacement for the SLS. It's a smaller, less expensive car. Very fast and sounds incredible.

Where would you put the cup holders? 'Muricans need cup holders. And it just wouldn't really work with the architecture, transmission at the back and all. But they have improved the DCT from the SLS. It's faster, shifts more intuitively, and has a button to go full manual so that it will no longer shift as it hits the rev limiter.
