When at a sports event, one's schoolmates look at you weirdly as you speak loudly on the phone to your father about worn timing belt bearings, pilot bearings, gearbox flywheel & front brake rotors and pads.

Then, they proceed to look at you even more weirdly as you Google "R53 underside jacking points".

At this point, I pretty much believe I am the biggest car geek in my entire school.

Sometimes I have to wonder "how much of this conversation do non-car people understand?"

Stuff like "Oh, no, it's not VTEC, the 3rd gen Integra base came with the B18b1 which was just a four pot, but the GSR came with the B18c1 which was the VTEC." -actual conversation from last night

Not cryptic enough. Integra is almost a real word haha. The best talking about German cars (or all the people trying to copy them) and can literally speak almost entirely in alphabet soup.

I think it's pretty safe to say I am the biggest car nerd in my school of ~2750. I imagine many Oppos are in the same boat haha!
