Back in 2012. Whoever replaced it did not clean up. They also replaced the clutch. I cant for the life of me figure out why it was done in september of this year too

I was right! So it is just leftover oil?

Ya, leftover oil. But I am leaking something somewhere from the transmission

Have you checked the caps/bolts that you check/drain from? I got scared one day after seeing a bit of trans fluid on the ground, luckily it was just the drain plug wasn't on tight.

Its not leaking onto the ground, only onto itself. Im thinking freeze plugs, so top leak

I knew it wasn't an RMS leak. When your car has an RMS leak, you put a quart of oil in for a 1 hour drive. And after it was parked, it looks like your radiator has sprung a leak. Ask me how I know. (Hint: it's my 924)

After all this, I'm not even sure The transmission is leaking anything at all. The power steering leak is buttoned up, Im gonna clean up the transmission, then drive around for an hour. Maybe next week, I got a shit ton of homework. I may be in the clear.

Before you make any further guesses as to what's leaking, get under there and do some heavy cleaning. Oil can get blown everywhere so who knows what's what.
And you need to check the trans fluid. The thread sealant isn't loctite, it's regular thread sealant for NPT threads. Nobody with cognitive function loctites in a plug, but everybody does (or should) use sealant on NPT threads.

I had an '89 Bronco with a RMS leak. In 9 months and 9k miles, it leaked 15 quarts of oil.
Still had the same filter, because it did its own oil changes.
