Kinja'd!!!

I figured y'all would appreciate this. There's a glass case in my school's ME building that's nearly impossible to open — like the hallway equation in Good Will Hunting. Supposedly, only a handful of people have ever opened it, not including the building's janitors. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Don't worry, though. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Possibly the same person.

I'm guessing the weights on each side of that scale somehow makes a difference? Send it here and I'll have it open in no time at all :P

At our school, we're not that bright or have a lot of school spirit, so the ME's draw dicks around the department. Also we have posters around like; "For a good time, call Thermodynamics I"

Nothing in our engineering building was more surreal than the ongoing bathroom wall marker discussion about engine architecture that stayed civil for about a week before devolving into the usual slurs and dicks. I think guys were sitting down to pee just to read it.

I'm confused. What makes it hard to open?

Here is a joke for you:
Q: What do you call someone who knows two languages?
A: Bilingual
Q: What do you call someone who knows three languages?
A: Trilingual
Q: What do you call someone who knows one language?
A: American

I'm American and have no idea what you just told me.

I figured that you perhaps was somewhat Finn due to your username here, that made me think that you'd probably learned swedish as well :P

What I wrote though was "Me to mate, me to"

I'm third or fourth generation American but all my ancestry is Finn. I know very few Finnish words, but my parents can speak it. Interestingly enough the Finn that they know is "old Finn" as it is the Finn our ancestors spoke when they came over in the late 1800's or early 1900's. Things like the car, plane and telephone weren't widely used or hadn't been invented at the time so there are some words missing or more complicated than the modern Finnish words for those kinds of devices.

Ahh.. I can't speak old finn.. I guess Vittu was used back then, but that's not something you say to mom and dad.

No, that probably wouldn't go over too well. This spring I was trying to unstick a hydraulic fitting on my tractor with a C clamp. I finally got the plunger loose and got sprayed in the face with hydraulic fluid and fell over backwards. The Finnlet was right there watching and I didn't want to swear in front of him so I went with paska housu at a properly loud volume. Being a two year old he thought that was a funny thing to say so he spent the next ten minutes running around yelling paska housu. My wife gave me a look so I had to point out to her that it could have been worse.

Ahh.. well.. if paskahousu is a bad thing to say you should NOT introduce that kid to true Nordic speak :P There IS a reason we get shocked when americans (and brits) tell us we've got a foul mouth.
