This first one is from Porsche Classic and shows the skill involved in making a perfect widened fender for a Carrera RS 2.7. I'm always astounded at the skill of these individuals.
This second video is from the first season of Fifth Gear and includes a Zonda S, the world's loudest car, a BMW 3-series, and a rapper and his interesting vehicles.

Interesting, they just cut it off and weld the new one on! I thought I was going to see someone working the metal out to a wider piece. Nice quality work though!

That was so cool. The Zonda will always be #1 in the realm of supercars for me.

They're definitely up there for me as well. They're just so exotic looking. In addition, it's crazy to think that they were only about $450,000.

It really looks like a spaceship, and that interior is just beautiful. Adjust for inflation and I bet that works out to be around $600k in today's money. I think Pagani has finally stopped selling the Zonda so it still would have been a good investment...

I agree on both points. I think the Zonda Revolucion was the last one. Have you ever seen EVO's videos about them?

I love Porsche Classic. So. Beautiful. The craftsmanship is unmatched and unreal. THIS is how you build an emotional and passionate vehicle unlike any other.

Thanks - it was very nice, if not exactly relaxing. Three different groups of family, with a night or two spent with each. I might always be worn out after a trip like that, but I'm always glad to have gone.

I haven't actually! This should be a good watch come dinner time.
Say, do you have any experience with depreciation?

In what sense?

I'm looking forwards to it.
Is it possible to predict deprecition, some sort of calculation or equation or math or statistic based on type of vehicle?

I don't know of one but this explains it fairly well.

Well, this is fascinating...
While on that site, I discovered a "Cost to own" chart you can seemingly use for any vehicle, so I plugged in the three vehicles on my mind right now:
Mustang GT
Mustang V6
FoST
Just look at that! If a GT which starts out at $32-35k, and depreciates roughly $8k by next year and with only 15,000 miles, that's a used or CPO price of $24-$27k by next year! That's freakishly affordable isn't it?
The FoST won't depreciate much so it's still a worthy trade in or private sell.
But look at the insurance between a V6 and GT...How is the V6 more??
Also, I keep going back and forth on this, and I remember that we touched on this briefly, but is it worth it to buy used over new? Because if I recall, we both agreed that it's much more special and personal getting something new. And something as important as this..

I think it is.
I'm not sure. That seems counterintuitive.
I think it is because price is a big deal for you at this time in your life. I'm sure you'll be much better off later on and can get a new car then.

Well, I mean even if it's depreciated, it's still always gonna be a $30+k car. So on second thought, maybe getting something new isn't the problem. I guess I'm worried about trying to find a used one that isn't beat to hell and has the options I want with no compromise.

That is definitely a valid concern. Haha I guess it all goes back to how much patience you have.

I just had another thought. all cars depreciate, so it doesn't make a difference when or how I do this, because the price remains constant if I trade-in or sell the FoST; so it wouldn't make a difference then?

I accidentally added in another comment before this one.
But patience is everything here, and that comment may have a bit to do with it.

Kind of but depreciation slows down after a few years.

It does slow down, but it's at it's lowest point also..

I had another thought.(I really need to stop thinking so quickly)
What's your oppinion of buying a first model year car vs. waiting for a newer one; in this case, 2015 vs 2016 Mustang?
CAcoalminer
> K-Roll-PorscheTamer

True.
CAcoalminer

Personally, I never buy the first model year of any car, no matter the manufacturer. No matter how well they engineer the vehicle, there will always be issues with the first year models.

THIS!
THIS is why I should wait. Quickly, say more of that so I can further agree with that logic because it is 125% logical.
