I was at the tennis club and stumbled upon a 2000 edition of the DuPont Registry. Inside was this ad:
To think that Hennessey, a small tuning company in Texas, went from building 650 hp Vipers to 1,244 hp Venom GTs in 12 years is fairly remarkable. Back then, even 500 hp probably seemed ludicrous. 1,000 hp probably seemed impossible.

If IIRC that Venom caught on fire during a Motor Trend top speed test around '00 or '01.

I'd love a V10 in my Durango. The 4.7 in mine just doesn't have enough horses or torque for the size of the vehicle.

On a slightly of topic note a hellcat Durango would be completely badass

I have a few of these in my basement somewhere, I thought about looking for them to see what things were like 14 years ago

For a second I was going to say "the 2nd gen is so hideous" I completely forgot there is a 3rd generation.

And the 3rd Gen is probably the best looking suv on the market now
