I didn't realize the MR2 was still in production.

"The poor man's Ferrari" is more my thing. Largely because I'm a poor man and £500 is appealing to me for 2l mid-engined sports car.

Before I knew anything about cars, I had a friend in high school who drove one of these in bright red and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Still like them, although I prefer the first generation myself.

I can feel the rain dripping on my shoulders through the t-tops even when I look at that.

My only issue is the fact that as the MR2 aged it got more power but more weight and worse handling. With that said the SW20 is a damn good car and I wouldnt mind picking one up

I like how you think, I'll get a nice MR2 video posted later tonight. Are they really difficult to work on? I don't know much about them..

Yes and no Ive got an 86 and some things are easy and others are nearly impossible. Theres actually a lot of room in the engine compartment, but Toyota used it all when they really didnt need to.

I'm in love with the W20's, but I don't know much about them. I'd love to pick one up as a weekend car, but I'm not too confident in my (lack of) ability to maintain it.

At the end of the day its still just a Toyota so parts are cheap and labor isnt too terrible, providing you stay away from the turbos

I drive a bmw so cheap labor is definitely welcomed haha. Damn, I like the turbos.. But I'd be willing to settle for s N/A.. Especially considering I have not much experience in mid engine rear drive cars.

Ah yes, I had a good laugh at your name. I drive an E90 328i, it's been rock solid so far, and I have an Indy I go to instead of the dealer anyways.

Miata owner here, and I love the AW11. It's like an 80's parallel universe version of a Miata.

Ah, an E90 is A LOT slightly less easy to work on than an E46 or E36/5 but they are definitely solid cars

believe it or not, the e90 actually isn't too bad to work on. Lots of room to work around the N52. Only reason I don't do all my own work is I don't have a garage and my neighborhood HOA tries to send me an intimidating letter whenever they catch me working on mine/a friends car.

it's stupid, they tried to force me to repaint my deck last summer, and I told them to gtfo unless they wanted to pay for it (I did all the work myself, no way in hell would I redo it) and that shut them up very fast.

Had an '89. Hated it. 79whp and EVERYONE cut me off in traffic all the time. Hated life driving it and it didn't handle either even with eibach springs and Sachs shocks.
