I've already started buying crap for it. Namely, some rubber floor liners to keep all the slush and muck and salt from walking around outside in Wisconsin winter off the carpets, and an FM transmitter to hook my phone up to the aux-jack-less stereo.

Mpow!

(That flappy bit in the middle of the rear liner is the part that drapes over the transmission hump.)

It's just my winter putz-around vehicle, I don't need anything crazy.

Wait, what is that mpow thing supposed to do? Does it let you plug your phone in to the stereo so you can listen to your music? Because if so I need that. Where and how much?! I like the stock look in my interior.

The headphone cable plugs into your phone's headphone jack and transmits the audio on an unused FM radio station. You set which frequency with the buttons, and set one of your radio presets to that same frequency.

The part that plugs into the lighter outlet powers it, and there's a USB port on it that you can plug a charging cable into.

It's $15 bucks on Amazon. I picked this one because it's cheap and has a 2.1 amp charge port which my LG G2 can use for fast charging.

There are other, more expensive ones that connect to your phone over bluetooth rather than use a headphone plug. But the Jeep has bluetooth phone link (just not bluetooth audio) and I wanted to avoid bluetooth confusion.

If those interest you, just go on Amazon and search for bluetooth fm transmitter.

Thanks, I might need to get this! Not a bad price either. I don't mind the cable, but my phone is pretty big and I don't know where I would put it. So maybe the Bluetooth is a better idea.

Typically the bluetooth ones are on a stalk that sticks out from your lighter socket. They often also have USB charging ports. This is one I was looking at before I decided on the cheapie wired one.

The Bluetooth ones are a bit more expensive but I think it might be worth it. I've wanted something like this for so long. Glad you posted this!

Sure, hope you find one that works out for you. This is what I used in my old Jeep, but no tape deck in this one.

My dad did something similar in his old 300M! Weird seeing that again.

A portable CD player I got in the mid-90s came with one, back before CD players were common in cars. I hadn't had a car with a tape deck in years, so when I got the old '99 Jeep I picked this tape adapter up at Walgreen's for 6 bucks. It did the trick!

I suddenly know something I'm getting my girlfriend for Christmas since her Taurus doesn't have an aux jack or tape deck and she's always complaining about it. I had no clue such a thing exists.
