Kinja'd!!!

As some of you probably know by this point, I work at Canada's finest purveyor of automotive parts and other assorted things, Crappy Tire. Apparently there's some sort of deal going on where, since I'm a Canadian Tire employee, I get a discount or something.

On a Cadillac.

Now, from the fact that they also advertised my savings on Buicks and then finally Cheverolets, they must recognize that I don't really have the big bucks for a new car. But starting off with Cadillac? Really? I think they need to work on their demographics a bit.

Wait, will this save me money on an ATS-V when it comes out? Maybe I'm a bit interested now...

You know you want the Tahoe in the center.

It's a GM wide discount probably.

I know, I just find it bizarre that they went with Cadillac for the first ad.

since everything in the store is made in China, I woulda thought they'd offer discounts on a Chery

Yes. (There are probably some closer to me than this one, which is pretty close to downtown Toronto, but it was the first one I thought of)

Import laws for cars, man. Probably the only thing stopping them.

Similar chain of stores in the U.S., Harbor Freight. Complete shit

I wouldn't call Canadian Tire complete shit (and that's not even employee bias speaking). My knife has lasted me a pretty long time, even when I use it constantly at work for cutting up boxes. I've seen newer knives split in half doing the same stuff.

Harbor Freight is a great place to pick up a tool you only plan to use a few times. I've even gotten tools there that are of fine quality. Lifetime warranty too.

Everything I've bought there has broken on the first use, or rusted in no time. If you can get through the one project you're working on and never use the tool again, it's worth a shot. I much prefer Craftsman hand tools (except the socket wrenches, they don't hold up), power tools is a mix of DeWalt & Makita.
