On a positive note, more snow tires in my size have popped up in the last day or two. Argh.

Hi,
Last try on the snow tires. I'm leaving work and heading to the area in about 20 minutes. Please text the address to #... or call me there if you are going to be available at 6. If you sold them to somebody else that's okay, just let me know please.
Thanks,
-D

Thanks,

I ahould invent a keyboard that just spits out common phrases you need for CL.
"Where is here"
"What's your highest offer?"
"Serious question. Do you have a condition?"

No kidding! I couldn't imagine somebody would have overbid on the used snow tires but I didn't even price haggle the guy.

Screw craigslist. Who would've guessed that the 2000s would bring us free classifieds, but then all the assholes come out and want all the money.
My fave, random craigslist seller: Here's my used shit—I want 10% less than new.
ORLY? How about I give you half of new + 10%
because you're selling used shit, dude, and you're not a retailer and newsflash: buying something isn't called investing—it's called a cost. Cost new = price and guess what you don't base value on the price you paid. Depreciation is huge and ever-present, and with the exception of collectible, coveted things you will
never make all of your money back on that iPhone/ PC/ firearm/ bowling shoes etc. because see that's how accounting and economies work.
I've got to wonder how many craigslist sellers have hoarding tendency because it sure doesn't seem like they want to part with their stuff without a fight.

No kidding! I didn't even haggle this guy on the price, was going to pay him his full asking price. He just dropped off the radar. I'm heading his direction tonight anyway and have cash, but it's obnoxious as crap because I found some others I could have bought yesterday that are probably sold by now. Oh well. Nothing on CL is a done deal until it changes hands...

I once drove 30 minutes of a 45 minute drive to buy a torqua wrench, only to get a text from the seller, "My friend must've borrowed it, it's not here"
