Update on the JSW !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Car is back, no whine, no fuel smell, no weird running. I guess the Low pressure pump they installed was faulty. I mean...what are the chances that a VW part wouldn't be reliable? so anyway, 40,000+ miles, and its on its 3rd aux. fuel pump. Neat.

Any idea how it failed the first time or the second ? I have a TDI with 20k miles on it and the HPFP thing has always scared me.

Just luck of the draw I guess. I did notice that the car always seemed to exhibit a random and occasional surge at idle and while stopped that I think are symptoms of the HPFP. I also noticed that it seemed to be down on power before it happened. Not like WOAH. but more like...I thought this thing was faster than this.

Yeah I'll have to keep any eye out but mine has been pretty good to me. But I have heard the horror stories like yours but there are also a ton of people who go a ton of miles with ought an issue

Yeah I know I really am just hoping it doesn't happen at all because that failure can cause other issues like youve been having

thats why, the tech told me, they dont even bother with triage anymore. If its the hpfp, they just do the whole fuel system...top to bottom. My extra fault was likely the cause of a bad part only
