Warren G, Nate Dogg and Micheal Mcdonald from The Doobie Brothers combined. And it strangely sounds great. This should happen more often. The original version of Regulate used a modified instrumental track, but the remixed version contains what I'm guessing is the hook.
IIINNNN other news. Whatever has been done to Kinja besides the new editor is terrible, slow and buggy.
Sorry Brian Silvestro, Thanks to Kinja I can't reply to your comment, or even read half of it.

It's pretty awesome, Some really talented groups back then.
The Sugarhill Gang sampled Chic's "Good Times," Salt N Pepa has sampled The Isley Brothers in the past, and Snoop's "The Next Episode" sampled David McCallum's "The Edge." It's pretty amazing how unlikely backing tracks were brought into Hip Hop and succeeded in flying colors.
