I have 40 feet of EL Wire. I used it to make a music video in college. Wired up my girlfriend and had her dance around campus.

I would say the most important thing you should do with it is learn how to solder it correctly, and attach it to cloth and other materials. Your new knowledge will be very sought after.

You CAN! But you have to attach the power pack to the hub, and secure everything with a LOT of zip ties.

And here's a video showing you how to do it, except the audio got removed due to a copyright violation. But it's still pretty straightforward.
