Truth be told I was like WTF after the first one. The MOPAR hate was the cherry on top. My SRT grocery getter is no M5, but its does pretty well in a straight line.

Just..what? I mean..a few make sense, Z's, S chassis's, the Honda's, usually aren't that fast. Easy to make fast, but usually aren't. That said, even stock, they're quick..not fast, but..quick. Which is the answer I give when people ask if my Z is fast...for now... it'll be fast at some point ;)

Fair point. Yes - El Camino's can be made to be fast; I was talking about in general, though. I was more going along the lines of if you were to ask someone to list off some of the fast cars she or he knew, the Elky would not typically be mentioned.

As for your stepdads, does he have traction problems out back? or does he carry some sandbags in the bed to keep the tail end nailed down?

He's gotten pretty good with throttle control. If he floors it the back end does want to rotate and there's some wheel hop that needs to be worked out. It's about as grippy as you would expect. I'm not sure what he has planned for it to fix those issues.

He took me for a spirited drive the other day for the first time. I drove it once when he first got it but he didn't have all the bugs worked out so it was surprisingly sluggish. It was not sluggish the other day.

Amazing how I disagree with almost everthing this guy says.
