Yeah, but still.
They could at least make an exception for rollin coal in front of cop cars!

Should be a national law against those jerk wads. I love things like plug and play tuners where you can adjust power levels. I can see the benefit when towing or hauling large loads. But there's no reason or excuse to pull this crap at every red light. I don't want to have to breathe that in when I get stuck behind some bro truck.

Well, technically, there already is, but it's never enforced because cops rarely if ever write federal EPA tickets since they don't actually receive the money from the federal fines. It will only actually be enforced if there's a state law on the books because then the ticket revenue will stay local.

Is it leaves or leafs? It's the Toronto Maple Leafs, so I'm leaning that way.

Did not know that. My state is almost completely red so since a democrat (in NJ) proposed the law that got passed it wouldn't surprise me to see a law requiring vehicles to roll coal or a ban on hybrids.
We have a precedent for such reactionary laws. When a city (don't remember where) decided to ban guns a city in my state made a law that still stands that every home owner is required to own a gun. Funny thing is the gun banning city has unusually high rates of home robberies and violent crimes where the one in my state has unusually low rates of violent crimes and theft. Not a pro gun argument because there are too many factors that go into crime but just to illustrate what my states lawmakers will do just as a reaction to what they view as a liberal agenda.

The bill was first proposed by Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D-Bergen) after a pick-up truck blew smoke at his Nissan Leaf

Just about everyone I know who has a truck that rolls coal is from below the Mason-Dixon Line.

Bigger lift and shinier wheels on even knobbier tires that won't see mud.

Cool. So THAT'S why the Southern State of New Jersey just banned it.

I think it's common pretty much anywhere people have big diesel trucks and few prospects in life.

We have big diesels, but most of us have enough sense to know that it's pretty stupid.

I don't live in one of those states or that has that kinda person. But.. let's just tally up the data: Family man over 20 years (read: not enough sex), driving older cars that I have keep functional (read: don't have income tp care or give a screw about appearances, just function) and too old to put up with young bullshit? Oh goodness, so glad I don't live there. I'd have to put aside civilization for a moment, I suspect.
