Today, we're launching a new blog series called Dive & Discover. Our "Dives" take a deep dive into a single make and model: its full history, a breakdown of submodels and engines, and an overview of everything you need to know before making a purchase. We then apply this knowledge by scouring Vintage Wheels for what we think are picks worthy of the title, "Discovery".

To kick off the series, we're starting with the wanderlust-inspiring, go-anywhere Volkswagen Vanagon Syncro. In the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , you'll learn about the van's two wheel drive roots, we'll take you through common fuel tank leakage issues, and we'll give you a brief tour of the some of the crazy modifications these cars undergo.

Our first Discovery is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a lifted vehicle with a torquey and rare 4 cyclinder oil-burner. We even tracked down the seller to learn more about the condition and history of this unique, near-mint condition Syncro.

We hope you enjoy reading this series as much as we enjoyed writing it. And make sure to check back often, as we'll be adding more makes and models in the coming weeks!
