The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is about as cultish as a vehicle can get. They are few and and far between and rarely as well presented as the example we highlight in this Discovery. We think this badass go-anywhere !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is just about perfect for whatever you want to throw at it. The van is for sale in New Jersey and priced at $45,000 with 45K miles on the clock. You don't need to factor in shipping costs because the whole point of having a Syncro is to explore the road and beyond. Buy it and drive it back home!

Price 6/10
As a general rule, Syncros are not inexpensive. The absolute bottom of the barrel is about $20K. When looking seriously for one to take home, keep that in mind. At $45K, this example is no rip off. It has been thoughtfully restored and sorted with curtains, a mosquito net, a retractable awning, new tires, new brakes, skid plates, and auxiliary battery. Small details make a big difference on a vehicle with this many mechanical parts. We think all of these additions add up to a solid, ready-to-run Syncro.

Condition 9/10
This Syncro looks to be in the top 10% of Syncros out there. It has been thoroughly reworked and updated. The underbody has been coated and is spotless.

As noted in the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , the undercarriage on these vehicles are prone to rust.
We called the seller who confirmed the mileage and spoke to the quality of the build. He's a VW van junkie who enjoys building and selling his creations. This is his latest masterpiece. He is the second owner but the car has been in his family since day one. He confirmed 45k miles on the odometer, that the van has no rust, and that the gas tank has been sealed.

Uniqueness 9/10
Syncros are all unique. No one is like another and that's part of the fun. This one is a factory diesel with a mild lift kit that makes it stand out a lot here in the US. Only a few grey market factory diesels made it to our shores. At around 100 lb-ft of torque, this Syncro isn't winning any races, but that extra oomph will help to motivate it up hills. The South African front end and bull bar are great visual touches as well. If we had the money we'd jump on this Syncro and drive into the sunset— wherever that may be!
