Sadly. No. I wish though. Mazda 323 were always good cars for what they were. I had a friend who had one as a taxi in Accra.

I've got a 1985 323 hatch as a paddock car, it cops heaps of abuse and starts right up for more when ever the urge strikes

It just means if noone has posted in an hour, then you post a picture of a random car because Oppo should have at least one post every hour. Usually that is not a problem. But when it is very early morning in the GMT -5 time zone (usually from about 1-6am in that zone) postings are sparse.
This is because most Oppo's live in the eastern US and are sleeping.

I do not know. I googled Mazda 323 and this one was my favourite.

Fair enough. Are you familiar with the Aussie ford laser? Local version of the 323 from back in the '80s

I'm not an expert on them but I'll tell you what I remember. Mazda sent over partially finished bodies Ford Australia would finish them off using locally made parts and had different front sheet metal from the imported Mazda , this allowed the cars to be classified as Aussie made. The local content was fairly high and the laser looked similar to the 323 but had a lot of differences. IIRC there was a hot hatch LASER TX3 TURBO AWD that looked pretty nice back then. I'll try and post some pics but I haven't done it successfully yet from my iPad.
