Never use bungie cords to hold down your tree.

Kinja'd!!!

This is also shitty tied tree.

Kinja'd!!!

Get rope or heavy twine and wrap around the base.

Kinja'd!!!

Best option: have the guy on the lot do it. He'll tie more trees in a day than you'll do in a lifetime.

Also, measure your ceiling and area with a tape measure. Don't tell me you're looking for a 6 foot tree and hold you arm 8 feet in the air.

edit: Also then cross over the back of the tree, (as in photo 2, but have the ropes tighter) to prevent the tree from going side to side.

One year I lowered the rear seats and shoved it through my Accord. Somehow even got the trunk to close too.

My sister was living in the city and had a Mazda 2. She reclined the passenger seat all the way and squeezed a tree in from the passenger footwell to almost the rear window.

I can't get that option. My area is too litigious apparently.

It really is a good option if you can get it though.

Can i still bungie a Corolla muffler back up on the side of an interstate? The bump, bump, grind thing is kinda cool....

I was referring to bungies holding trees that could fly off. What you do with bungies otherwise is your own business

As someone who sells christmas trees, I DON'T recommend wrapping around the base. If the rope comes loose in the back, the stump is going right through your windshield if you stop too quickly.

Cross the rope in the front just before the branches then cross diagonally back and forth tightly. Always using two pieces of rope/string.

Best Solution: Pickup truck

I agree tying in the back is critical.

I was mostly thinking how people loop it around the tree (second photo) and have the tree slide forward at the next light. thanks for the fix
