Holiday comedy movies. How about a war film?

Off of most radars, 1941 has one of the best John Belushi characters. It's all about Christmas right after Pearl Harbor was bombed, so everyone in California is paranoid and lost about what to do next. Even the lost Japanese submarine off the coast.

Saw it on Netflix one. Had some funny scenes, but was not impressed overall.

That's a great movie. And the John Williams soundtrack is brilliant, as always.

Forgive me, but I am going to post quotes from the film in the replies, here. Feel free to reply to them with an image or something...

"You won't get shit out of me. I've been constipated all week!"

You shouldn't touch the ordnance at all.

But more specifically, you should never pull this hand-operating lever to the rear.

Do not push a clip of ammunition down into the feed rollers here.

You never restore this lever to firing position. Do not make sure that this cover is completely closed.

Never depress operator's foot triggers here, here and at the rear here.

"Ladies and gentlemen, every where I look... soldiers are fighting sailors, sailors are fighting Marines! Directly in front of me, I see a flying blond floozy! Everywhere I look... everywhere, pure pandemonium... pandemonium!"

Great fucking movie. Totally unappreciated.

Belushi's Capt. Kelso and Slim Pickins alone are worth watching it.

Saw it once, long ago. Now I have to see it again after reading some of the comment quotes. So thank you.

Surprised no other war movies came up in this article. Like "Kelly's Hero's" with Donald Sutherland. "Always with the negative vibes, man."

Edit: You can ignore me. "Holiday" war movies. KH isn't that. So sorry for poor reading comprehension.
