I forgot I had these photos. As part of our orientation at lakehead last year, we won prizes. one of them was an aerial tour of thunder bay by helicopter these are the photos that I took
got a ride in a limo there and back too :D

That is what is left of an ore dock . These were commonly used to load bulk freighters with iron ore on the Great Lakes. Typically a set of train tracks would run on the top of the dock and the train cars would dump their taconite into the dock. The dock has a set of chutes on the sides that would then be used to direct the cargo into the ships holds.

It is what is left of an ore dock . These are very common around the Great Lakes, but most of them have been abandoned.
