So I saw an SR-71 at the Aviation Museum in Seattle today, and now I really want to read Gamecat's SR-71 story. However, that story is now NOWHERE TO BE SEEN!
This is why I have trust issues.

I went to the SAC museum all the time as a kid, so I became jaded by the Blackbird. I need to get back there.

there is so much more good stuff in that book than that one story.

The one outside Omaha? I went a few years ago. Only time I've seen a Blackbird in person.

there are a bunch of stories from the book that made their way onto Jalopnik...not just the ground speed check.

Yup, the one outside Omaha. In elementary school I went and did sleepovers there a couple times and we slept under the Blackbird.

I was a little underwhelmed outside of the Blackbird. Bombers and transports aren't really my thing. Still a cool collection.

I know, that was the point I was trying to make. Lots of great stories beyond the speed check. Some cool photos in it as well.

They have plenty of fighter planes, but they're all hanging from the ceiling.

I remember a recon F-86 in camo.
