Today I came upon this 1971 Pontiac Catalina which was used as an airport limo back in the day. I had no idea these things even existed until I did some research. What makes it even weirder is the fact that it's a station wagon.
Know any other strange limos? Post them in the comments below.

Why? Just why?
How short is the range now, 5 miles?

Maybe, but I think it would be much more complicated adding more batteries. Would it not take more power to charge more batteries?

that a irelavent point. you just commented on the range :P
more complicated? just order more batteries and some wiring. job done. or, assuming the floor pan is simply extended, call up the guys who made the original better and say: yo, I need one the same Y and Z dimensions, but twice the X direction. yea. to go. sweet, thanks mate.

There's at least one Tribeca limo out there, I've seen it with my own eyes.
Checker also offered an eight door version of their ubiquitous cab.

Cheker Aerobus! First time I went to U.S. I saw one at the airport.
It was so cartoonish, I just stared at it in disbelief until someone called me back to reality!
