FWD cars are only good if they weigh under 2500lbs. See: CRX, Civic, original GTI, etc.

I doubt I'll ever own a FWD car again, my heart belongs to RWD. I'd take a poorly handling RWD land yacht over any efficient, faster FWD hot hatch.

I'd take the Civic over the Integra for the weight savings, but yeah, it's a good car. First and Second gen eclipses also get a pass, but just barely.

The only fwd cars I like are Eldos and Toronados.

Everything else I despise.

People tolerate fwd cars saying that they're "not that bad" only because they're stuck with the damn things. You do anything but hate fwd after driving one after becoming accustomed to real vehicles.

I never gave much thought to Eclipses, but I do seem to remember them being on the autox courses a fair bit. They seem more popular as drag racing cars though... *cringes*

I'd love AWD more if my car had lockable/controllable diffs... then it would be pretty damn good. However, there are days I miss RWD. A lot.

FWD isn't worse it's just different. I've had seat time in everything from an Aston Db9 to little 50hp boxes. A good car is a good car whatever wheels are driven.

Interesting. When it comes to looks, at least, I too prefer the ST—indeed, the Mark II ST facelift is, to my eye, the best-looking Focus ever made.

The thing is, though... I actually prefer the three-door. For me, it goes: Mark II ST three-door (facelift), Mark II RS, Mark I RS, Mark III ST Estate, Mark II ST five-door (facelift), then the pre-facelift Mark IIs, and then the Mark I ST170.
