Ford GT + 8000 rpm voodoo

What if +2L and +1k RPM...

Less peak hp/tq and average hp/tq.

I really want to see this, like badly. Really, really badly. I wonder how hard the swap would be...

but imagine the throttle response!

My guess is it'll be in Fords rumored upcoming 2016 "GT40", meant for a le mans return. So excite!

The throttle response is already pretty good in this one.

I really hope that's true, but I don't know. Ford really has its hands full at the moment with so many product launches. I've heard it might not happen. But we'll see.

You don't want a 9k RPM 427 GT???!!
![]() 11/29/2014 at 14:46 |
|
No because it would be a 439 cu. in. not a true 427. In addition, revving that high would most likely make it lacking for torque down low. I like torque down low. Finally, I happen to like the GT as it is just fine.

I bet! That engine doesn't have much car to push around and I'm sure you can attest to that. Still, you should be the first to do the swap. Do it, imagine how cool you'll be on oppo. /peer pressure

Possibly.

Hey I just had an idea. I bet 4 GT350 engines would be way easier to get than 4 enzo V12s...and I'm sure someone can make four 439 blocks for me...
...what if (439cu and 9k RPM)*4 + One school bus...

Sounds terrific.
Another option is 4 Jon Kaase Boss 9s that have been punched out to 520 cu. in. each making 805 hp.

Do you like it?

Instead of making a Ford GT slower, why not put it in one of these:
Yes, it is a kit.
![]() 11/29/2014 at 15:51 |

I want to have that engine's babies.
That makes no sense and is a totally silly thing to say. Not taking it back, though.

or, equally as enticing

I prefer the rear/mid of the GT40, but that would be pretty awesome.

I support this.

Where did the photo on the left come from? Haven't seen any engine detail pics like that.
