Im so fucking done with this car. Today the whole radio head unit killed itself. I tried new fuses and didnt fix anything. Fuck me. The pick n pull only has 1998 model year so if i get one itll be the wrong year. And that damn gear lever will not stop sticking. I hate this fucking car!

Jesus, that fucking car is possessed by Satan or something.

I'm just ready to snap here.

Haha, I totally wouldn't doubt that.
What I don't understand is that not many people seme to be biting. Like most of the trade offers you've received are meh.

Ugh, that sucks. At this point, maybe just part it out. It doesn't sound like it's worth getting an aftermarket head unit. I'd say just cut your losses and find something else. You still have a Honda, right? So, not like you'd be without transportation. Sounds like there's just too many little gremlins. Get rid of it before it just keeps eating up your bank account and patience to pieces.
We've all been there. Sucks big time, brother, but I think we've all had a mistake-mobile. If nothing else, you're smarter now for what you did, and ya learned some things.

I think my ad is just too detailed. Im writing the most vague ad ever to get it sold now.
if I get $2000, ill take the loss and be out only a few hundred for tires. I need it gone by December 20th so I can get most of my registration refunded...
Why is it that its worth so much more to my damn insurance company? ?

Step 1: Remove shift-interlock solenoid.
Step 2: Buy cheap aftermarket headunit.
Step 3: Sell asap!
Step 4: Throw a party!!!!

Radio should be easy to fix. Any 850, S70, OR V70 radio from 1993-2000 should fit and work just fine. Sorry you are having so many issues with your V70. My 850 decided to lock up its brakes in my garage, and I am unsure of how to fix it, so I know how you are feeling.

I know it wont be too hard to do. Its more or less if I want to toss another $50-100 at it. And the 1998 looks slightly different button wise... and only has a one disc cd player. Unless your an expert though you might not know.
every day its something on it.

It could always have an... "accident".

Usually a junkyard should charge about $30 for a radio. Bring yours in with you, and be sure they share the same plug. Then try and locate the radio code in the car, and you should be good to go.

Make sure it's entirely too small and has swoopy '90s graphics that can't display the full title!

And random wildlife in the graphics.

I'm so sorry but I laughed when you said "Bork Bork Bork"! Honestly, I'd buy it if I had the 2 grand as I'm on the stupid bus right now, and I can fix just about anything....

That's pretty much all Volvos since the 80's.

Hate to be a downer, but if that is anything like our 850, the radio will need a security code.

Im all set there already have it! Previous owner wrote it on top of radio and ive used it like 3 times so its good!
And like 2 of the ones at thr yard had the code too so I'll be good.

Then you are set! It's crazy how easy it is to remove those radios.

And a copy of Jock Jamz lodged in the tape deck and Livin' La Vida Loca CD single stuck in the CD player ;)
