one year and 2 days after my truck dies here we go with my wife's. I'm pretty sure it's just the alternator.

We're a couple miles from home and I'm not sure I can get enough juice in it to get it back

Alternators are pretty easy to replace, at least. I hope everything works out for you!

Probably every alternator but this one. I gor a quote at $500. It requires you to drop the drive shaft which is more than I want to try. The thing is on the back of the engine

Yea it sux. There's not much in the budget for this especially this time of year. I'm hoping my neighbor will help with the job but he sounds kinda scared of it too.

Make it a weekend job! Gather some friends that kinda know what they're doing, and save some money, maybe?

Also, get beer. You'll need beer.

Haha I've done that with house projects. I have more ability with both types of work. I dunno if any one else could even change a tire haha. Add beer and I'd be in deep shit when I try to drive that car away
