Obviously an American model, so 240hp instead of 316, and 5 speeds instead of 6 (grrrr!) but an M3 nevertheless.

I've only driven one E36 M3, and it was so far from stock that I wouldn't know what a stock example would be like. Did you get to drive it?

It belongs to my grandparent's friends, not my grandparents. These aren't exactly folks I hang around with on a regular basis.
