I like Spintires in theory, but the camera breaks the game. It's useless. Just give me a chase cam and a hood cam and leave me alone with this over the shoulder bullshit.

The Director's Cut of Dragonfall fixes a lot of the bugs. It's also a much better story than the opener.

I loved the Flatout so much. The games were a lot of fun...high jump and darts where you fire the driver through the windshield. Non-Steam recommendation: find a copy of Rally Trophy, vintage rallying with Minis, Volvo Amazons, Lancias, Opel Kadett...an all time great racing game I never see anybody talk about.

FlatOut 1 - brilliant.
FlatOut 2 - kinda crappy.
FlatOut Ultimate Carnage - see FlatOut 2.
FlatOut 3 - absolute rubbish, if you are given this game for free you are being ripped off.
Next Car Game - 40% FlatOut 1, 60% FlatOut 2.

Next Car Game is being made by Bugbear, the folks who made the first two. They didn't make the third and lost the rights to the name to the publisher (Strategy First).

It is a Bugbear game. Huh.

It's not up on Steam, or Good Old Games, or Green Man Gaming.

I found it by sailing the seven ISP's (yarrr), but that's taking an hour and a half because hardly any one has it.
